I spent more than half of my life trying to be a perfectionist and failing miserably. Even after I dedicated my life to the Lord in 2006, I still battled the internal “need” to obtain perfection. After a series of events in early 2017, enough was enough and I finally accepted I am imperfectly perfect – perfectly designed, yet humanly flawed. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect all the time (or at all!) and I still mess up daily and have to die to myself. But isn’t that what life is all about? Learning from our mistakes and growing closer to the Lord? As God is constantly molding and chiseling away at our hearts and souls, He is transforming us into the people He created us to be so we can ultimately fulfill His purpose.

I’ve gone through a lot since becoming a follower of Christ, including issues with family, health and culture as well as living in 4 states (TX, GA, MI, AZ) with 8 different residences within 11 years of marriage! After three very challenging years with many emotional highs and lows, God revealed His purpose for me through SG&G in June 2016. I am so encouraged by the work He has already done through me and cannot wait to see what He has in store for my life and the ministry of SG&G!
